Global Entrepreneurship Week 2010 T & T
It has definitely been a long time coming, but Global Entrepreneurship Week 2010 is finally here in Trinidad and Tobago. It only comes once a year, for majority of us in the entrepreneurial community; it’s like celebrating a birthday or even better, “why?” you may ask. This is because unlike a birthday its spans a whole week rather than a single day; imagine, seven (7) days reliving the excitement of the day before. It’s like a kid in a candy store need I say more.
So what is an entrepreneur?
According to businessdictionary.com, an entrepreneur is a person who exercises initiative by organizing a venture to take benefit of an opportunity and, as the decision maker, decides what, how, and how much of a good or service will be produced. (Now in layman’s terms) or according to me, Managing Director of Caribonix – an entrepreneur is someone like you and I, who has a dream, a goal, a vision; someone who is innovative, creative, and is willing to take calculated risks in order to achieve his/her pursuits/venture.
It’s that simple, there are various forms/types of entrepreneurs but I’m not going to go any further into it. However if you would like to know more about entrepreneurship, feel free to send me a note and I would be happy to write an article on it.
